Canoe Paddles - Old Town Goldenlight Touring Paddle - $25.00 - This is a T Handle canoe paddle with a gold anodized shaft, foam shaft grip, and poly blade. Nothing fancy, but not heavy! Great base price paddle.

Carlisle AuSable Canoe Paddle - Wood Icon Paddle - 5 laminate - $13.00 - The AuSable has been made for years, a tough and durable wood paddle. Narrower blade, and not quite the finish of an expensive paddle, she has a history of being the affordable wood paddle standby.

Sugar Island Bent Shaft Canoe Paddle - 7 laminate - Classic, not made anymore! - $55.00 This is a great paddle that is not available anymore! It is a 7 laminate paddle with a resin tip. Very light weight, you will feel the difference! I love my bent shaft. Great for touring with your canoe, cruising as you "rudder trail your paddle" and it is perpendicular to your canoe, while the handle is in front of you!

New 2008 Model Extrasport Canoe and Kayak PFDs - Loch - $62.50 - Good

Good is an understatement when it comes to the Extrasport Loch. It is far superior in fit to many of the jackets we have tried through the years. With the chrome ring in the back as you can see, the strap shifts to mold to the body type and shape, to make a custom fit every time. One of the requirements of a PFD is that it does not ride up. When this jacket is strapped down and you lift the sholder strap up off the shoulder, it does not move! The pull is sent under the arms through the retroglide ring, keeping the jacket where you want it, and not hitting your chin when you most need it, in the water! Type lll PFD, this is where a fabulous design starts in price. These are a great deal!

With all the great features the Loch has (outlined above), this jacket adds a hidden pocket next to the zipper on front center, located under the gold colored panel on the front. That gold color material is also on the back, and is a more rugged canvas material for heavier wear situations of throwing it in and out of your kayak or canoe, after you get where you are going. The Canvas areas are the upgrade, the difference over the Loch.

A totally different jacket with the same great Retroglide feature, the Extrasport Gage PFD is a professional choice, or an avid paddler that wants the best. Putting pad in front and in back, the clearance for arm sweep is maximized, and with the side zip, a trim fit can be achieved with the bulk of the pad centered, now not needing to make room for a zipper. Kayak - Extrasport Recreational Cockpit Covers - $32.00

Extrasport cockpit covers are great for keeping out mice, spiders, while storing your gear away inside your kayak between outings. If you carry your boat right side up while car topping on hully rollers and/or saddles, you will carry your boat right side up on your rig. Cockpit covers are essential for keeping out the heavy water while car topping in these cases. The picture is on the front of a tandem boat, skirt in back, when it is solo paddled. These do not cost much for the great service they provide you. Roll it up and pack it on your kayak trip. It will keep the dew off your gear and seat after a night out. Cockpit covers work great! A word of caution, cockpit covers will not keep bears out. Don't store the food in here over the night either...

Kayak - Extrasport Recreational Nylon Spray Skirts - $75.00

Skirts. A woman wears the skirt in the family, until now. We men can now enjoy having a skirt, and not get laughed at! I know we all looked forward to that day. The skirt fashion of the kayaker is common. Hanging down in front, while in use it keeps the wave splash out, paddle drip, as well as a pooring rain if you get caught. New 2008 Extrasport Techwear - X-Tended Wear Splash Top - A great Paddle Jacket! $85.00

Dry tops from Extrasport run the price gammet and start with this spray top in the line up. So efficient for our recreational and canoeing needs, we saw the bargain in this "polyester taffteta" jacket. Breathable and keeping moisture out, this jacket material is the best of both worlds. With gaskets at the cuffs and collar, a velcro folding flap tightens and seals out the elements and adjusts easily just by applying the right amount of tug when you stick the velcro. With your base layer and fleece pullover underneath, you are prepared to take on the world on those colder paddling mornings, or days, when ever you paddle.
